The LG GM730 is one of the first smartphones to use Microsoft’s new Windows Mobile 6.5. The Touch Diamond2, successor to the popular Diamond smartphone, runs on HTC’s new TouchFLO 3D interface. It has a customized version of Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional so users can quickly access people, messaging, email, photos, music and weather. A larger 3.2-inch widescreen VGA screen includes a new touch sensitive zoom bar for faster browsing of webpages, emails, text messages, photos or documents. The Touch Diamond2 also groups conversation together in a single contact view — whether voice, text or email is used so histories can be viewed from the contact card or during a phone conversation. The new HTC Touch Cruise (2009) has integrated GPS with Footprints, an application that geotags photos and creates digital postcards on the handset. When a photo is taken, Footprints takes notes, an audio clip, and geotag it to identify its geographical location. Consumers can flip back through photos to retrace steps to that exact location. Footprints works outdoors and indoors for accurate records of locations. When placed in its car cradle, the Touch Cruise transforms an in-car navigation system, automatically converting its user interface for turn-by-turn directions. Using TouchFLO technology, the Touch Cruise provides fingertip access to phone, contacts, email, messaging, calendar and GPS applications.

The HTC Magic is a tablet-style smartphone that runs on Google’s Android operating system. It has a trackball and navigational buttons for quick, easy access and a 3.2-inch touch screen display. The Magic can access email options such as Google Mail, POP3 and IMAP as well as Google Talk for instant messaging. Popular Google applications are also integrated such as Google Maps and Google Search as well as access to video sharing site YouTube.
Nokia 7205 Intrigue Phone Verizon Wireless

Released for Verizon Wireless, the Nokia 7205 (Intrigue) has an external screen that illuminates when an incoming call or text is received. Consumers also play songs, or turn off the alarm clock to snooze a little longer without opening the phone. A large, bright internal screen includes a nature-inspired design setting called Habitat mode. When the Habitat mode is activated, contacts are presented in chronological order for an intuitive way to track contacts. The handset also comes with VCAST Music with Rhapsody to allow users to choose from over five million songs. They can download the master copy of their songs to a PC and sync their tracks, albums and playlists to their phone. The 7205 also has a microSD optional removable memory with up to 8GB for additional storage. Extra features include a 2.0-megapixel camera with flash and Bluetooth wireless technology.
LG Rumor2 Phone Sprint

Released for Sprint, the LG Rumor2 offers a full-sliding QWERTY with an additional row of keys for easier typing. It also has an increased QVGA display, 1.3-megapixel camera and stereo Bluetooth technology. The Rumor2 comes preloaded with Sprint Navigation for GPS navigation and voice and on-screen, turn-by-turn driving directions. Users can access Microsoft Exchange Server and IBM Lotus Notes accounts through Sprint Mobile Email Work. A removable backplate lets users personalize their phone.
