Vertu Signature S Design Phone

The Vertu Signature S Design is the updated version of the Signature. Hand-built in England, the Signature Design S is the first phone to be assembled by a single craftsman – taking years to learn the necessary skills. Each handset is signed by the craftsman who created it. It has an OLED sapphire screen that takes more than two weeks to create in a 2000 degree Celsius furnace. Almost impossible to scratch, it must be cut, ground and polished with diamond tipped tools. The solid gold or platinum phones are stamped with the Vertu and Swiss Assay Office hallmark. The patented keypad contains 4.75 carats of solid ruby bearings – each cut and set in its exact place like a jewel. The ruby bearings slide on sapphire crystal surfaces that are aligned so that no part of the metal key touches the sapphire face of the phone. The result is no friction and no wear. The engineered battery cover release, inspired by vintage design is operated by a D-ring – extremely secure, yet easily released with the fingertips. Each surface of Signature S Design is polished in a process that takes two days just complete the ceramic pillow alone. All the sounds are taken from a piece of music composed for Vertu by Academy Award winning composer Dario Marianelli. The music was performed by the London Symphony Orchestra with all solo flute pieces played by Andrea Griminelli, one of the world’s leading flautists.

Vertu Ascent Ti Ferrari Phone

The Vertu Ascent Ti Ferrari takes material and design cues from the Italian car maker. Heavily influenced by luxury sports cars, Vertu worked closely with Ferrari. The Ascent Ti Ferrari uses the same leather and stitching as the latest Ferrari car interiors. The battery cover mirrors the distinctive bonnet detailing, while the sides are sculpted to reflect the louvers, found on Ferraris. The Ascent Ti Ferrari has a sapphire crystal screen and a chassis built from high-grade titanium. ‘Ti’ is the chemical symbol for Titanium, the non-corrosive element with the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal. The Ascent Ti Ferrari has recordings of original Ferrari engine sounds taken from the F430 and the 612 Scaglietti. In addition, the renowned songwriter and musician, Dave Stewart has blended engine sounds into ringtones.

Vertu Constellation Phone

The Vertu Constellation is inspired by classic aircrafts – cross sections of the leading edge of wings combined with the high polished metal and small fasteners along the edges. The microphone port is design as a subtle tribute to a classic propeller fan. The Constellation uses ceramic, smooth and scratch resistance material, to make the keypad. Each key is polished and laser perforated to allow lighting through the key. A monogram pattern is featured on the hand-molded leather backplate. Using fine grain leather and high-quality printing, a sharp image of the pattern has two darker tones than the leather color – a process takes four hours before finishing with a protective layer. Designed to assist travelers, the quad-band engine connects in over 180 countries around the globe. The Constellation has real-time flight tracking for flight information, a real-time currency converter, world weather facilities to know what to expect at the destination, and a world clock to view the home time and up to three locations simultaneously.

Vertu Ascent Phone

The design of high performance cars and the materials used in them inspire Vertu Ascent. Contrasting the feel of soft, hand-stitched leather with hard, precision-engineered Liquidmetal alloy, the side of each phone features the leather that graces an Aston Martin and is dyed to recreate the colors of some of the world’s fastest luxury cars. Matching colored thread has been hand-stitched into the black leather at the back of the phone creating a similar effect to the contrast stitching found inside these cars.
